DUNCASTER HIRES VICE PRESIDENT – STRATEGY & COMMUNITY LIFE
BLOOMFIELD, CT, May 8, 2019 – Duncaster has hired Kelly Papa for the newly created position of Vice President-Strategy and Community Life. Kelly has 20 years of clinical and executive leadership experience in senior living with a strong background in education/training, wellness and life enrichment services, organizational and program development, quality improvement, strategic planning and operations.
Kelly was most recently the Corporate Director of Learning at Masonicare in Wallingford. Prior to joining Masonicare, Kelly served for five years as the Director of Education and Consulting at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center in Plantsville and spent four years as the Director of Nursing/Clinical Educator at McLean in Simsbury
“Kelly will be responsible for implementing best practices in life enrichment and wellness services across the continuum to maximize the resident and staff experience,” says Duncaster CEO Michael O’Brien. “In addition, Kelly will be responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, partnerships, affiliations and innovations to strengthen Duncaster’s role as a leader in Aging Services.”
Kelly received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Anselm’s College and her Master of Science in Nursing/Clinical Nurse Specialist from St. Joseph College. Kelly is recognized nationally and locally as a leader in the field of Aging Services. She has authored numerous books and articles on creative staff development, dementia care and leadership in long term care and is a frequent speaker on culture change, dementia and learning organizations. Kelly is also a dementia care specialist trainer. She and her family reside in Avon.
