Duncaster Nurse Wins Nightingale Award for Nursing Excellence

BLOOMFIELD, CT, August 21, 2020 – We are very proud to announce that a member of the Duncaster nursing team, Lilibeth Warner, RN, BSN has been selected from a statewide applicant pool to receive The Nightingale Award for Excellence in Nursing in 2020. The Nightingale Award for Excellence in Nursing is Connecticut’s largest statewide nursing recognition program and we are deeply honored to have Lilibeth Warner on our staff as Nurse Designee. 

It has been said that, ‘If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.’  At Duncaster, Lilibeth’s leadership inspires us all to smile more, reflect more deeply and to always have a gentle touch.  This year, Lilibeth went above and beyond by stepping into the interim Supervisor of Assisted Living role. She not only took on more hours to accept this expanded role, but she nourished a loving and peaceful culture among our staff.  When faced with a challenging situation Lilibeth said, “I don’t yet know what we are going to do, but I know am a peace maker. We will be peaceful.” This statement embodies both Lilibeth’s personal style and the approach Duncaster staff strive to demonstrate in our approach to a solution and in our work as team members.
