DUNCASTER RECEIVES 5-STAR RANKING FROM CENTERS FOR MEDICARE AND MEDICAID SERVICES

BLOOMFIELD, CT, February 14, 2020 – Duncaster’s Caleb Hitchcock Health Center (Caleb) recently received an overall 5-Star ranking from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Caleb is among 7% of skilled nursing centers nationwide to earn this distinction. Caleb’s ranking is the result of it earning 5-Stars in the categories: health inspections, overall quality, quality measures, staffing and RN staffing.

CMS began star ratings in 2009 with the goal of helping consumers more readily navigate nursing home choices. Their comprehensive, data-driven nationwide system is recognized as the gold standard, offering consumers straightforward metrics that empower them to investigate the quality of care at skilled nursing centers.
