DUNCASTER HIRES VICE PRESIDENT – HEALTH SERVICES/ADMINISTRATOR

BLOOMFIELD, CT, February 5, 2020 – Duncaster has hired Ami Desai for the position of Vice President – Health Services/Administrator. A resident of Glastonbury, Ami most recently was the Director of Outpatient and Clinical Administration at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain.  

Previously she was the Administrator of the Brittany Farms Health Center in New Britain.  Prior to her role as the Administrator she served as the Director of Rehabilitation Services at the Brittany Farms Health Center. 

Ami has over 25 years of executive leadership experience in senior living, health care management and clinical operations with a strong background in operations/strategic planning, program development, quality initiatives and hospital/physician relationships. Ami received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the Maharaja Sayajerao University in India and a Masters in Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix.  She is a Member in the American College of Health Care Executives.  A licensed Nursing Home Administrator Ami received her Long-Term Care Management Certification from the University of Connecticut. 

Ami will have strategic, administrative and operational responsibility for the Caleb Hitchcock Health Center and Assisted Living Services.  In addition she will provide administrative oversight to our Clinic and serve as the liaison to Hartford HealthCare Medical Group.
